CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic carrier 10 forms a cubic block formed of foamed styrol, and a sample containing hole 11 to contain a sample 30 is formed in the central part of the upper surface thereof. The sample hole 11 has a bore approximately equal to the outer size of the sample 30 and depth approximately equal to the length of the sample. Manipulator guide grooves 12 and 12 extending through the containing hole 11 and longitudinally and laterally crossing the surface of the containing hole are formed in the upper surface of the pneumatic carrier 10. Thus, the sample 30 can be densely inserted in the containing hole 11 or the pneumatic carrier 10, jolting of the sample 30 and protrusion of it from an upper surface are prevented to prevent the damage of the sample. The sample can be easily taken out in a way that the head part of the sample 30 is grasped by means of the claw tip of a manipulator 40 inserted in the guide groove 12.
