PHOTOGRAPHING UNIT

PURPOSE:To obtain a high-quality image small in poor saturation (discontinuity of color) on the side of overexposed parts, superior in gradation reproduction performance by setting a specified silver halide photographic sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide photosensitive material provided with a silver halide photosensitive layer formed on a support is controlled to >= 300 in ISO sensitivity and it has at least one of each of red-, green-, and blue-sensitive layers. In each of the density function curve D(logE) of at least one color of yellow, magenta, and cyan, exposure logE0 gives density do = Dmin (minimum density)+ 0.15, logE5 is logE0 + 2.5, and in the range of logE5 - logE0, 4 exposure points are newly selected; logEi, i = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, and logEi - logEi-x = 0.5. The density of logEi is di, and a ratio of gi expressed by equation I to (h) expressed by equation II is (j), and it is expressed by equation III. The photosensitive material to be set satisfies these equations I, II, and III, thus permitting high-quality images small in poor saturation in the side of overexposure parts to be obtained.
