description PURPOSE:To improve the safety of reactor structures used under the neutron- irradiated environment and to prolong the service life of said structures by increasing the percentage of boron-11 ( B) content based on the total B content in an Ni-B alloy. CONSTITUTION:In an alloy material consisting of, by weight, 2-15% B, =1,200 deg.C, respectively. The above Ni-B is added to reactor materials such as Ni-base alloy material, iron and steel material, etc., or is used as a brazing filler metal for reactor material joining. On application of this Ni-B, helium formation due to the reaction of B with neutron in the material can be reduced even under the neutron-irradiated environment.
