description PURPOSE:To obtain a toner free of fogging and scattering and supperior in gradation and resolution by attaching a colorant to the surfaces of smaller mother particles made of an electrically chargeable resin and implanting it in the surfaces and fixing the smaller particles to the surfaces of larger binder resin mother particles. CONSTITUTION:The colorant 2 is attached to the surfaces of the smaller mother particles 1 made of the chargeable resin and implanted in the surfaces to form composite particles 3, and these composite particles 3 are firmly fixed to the surfaces of the larger binder resin mother particles 4 to obtain the toner 5. It is preferred to use 5 - 50pts.wt., especially, 10 - 30pts.wt. of the composite particles 3 to 80pts.wt. of the larger particles 4, thus permitting a sharp image proper in density and superior in gradation and resolution to be obtained without causing fog and scattering of the toner 5.
