description PURPOSE:To stabilize image characteristics by firmly fixing resin particles with electric chargeability imparted and specified in average particle diameter and polyolefin resin particles to the surfaces of the colored particles comprising a binder resin and a colorant. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic dry toner is prepared by firmly fixing the resin particles (A) with chargeability imparted and having an average particle diameter of 0.05-2.0 mum and the polyolefin particles (B) having an average particle diameter of 0.05-2.0 mum to the surfaces of the colored resin particles comprising at least the binder resin and the polyolefin resin particles. It is preferred that the melt viscosity characteristics of the resin particles measured by the overhead flow tester has those in the A region shown as Graph I: Melt Viscosity Characteristics of Resin Particles; X is Applied Temperature ( deg.C) and Y is Melt Viscosity (poise), thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic dry toner to be superior in charging characteristics and image characteristics in successive copying and excellent in fixability.
