The wear resistance of the part with out dull-working can be secured and also the hardness of tempered layer can be made over 700Hv. A steel which 0.7 - 1.5C, 0.5 - 1.2 Si, 0.3 - 1 Mn, 4 - 13 Cr, 0.6 - 4 Mo and 0.3 - 3 V by wt.% are contained is used. The wear resistance of laser dull-worked roll and the ruggedness maintenance of the plate surface of stock to be rolled can be improved.
