The supercharger is externally driven by, for example, an electric motor or an internal combustion engine of an automobile equipped with the air conditioning apparatus, and the compressed air is introduced to a supercharge air cooler 6. The compressed and cooled air is finally introduced to a driving turbine 7 of the exhaust turbo supercharger 3 where it is expanded to drive the compressor. Thereafter, the air is introduced to the automobile indicated by an arrow 8 or to other chamber to be cooled. Thus, there is ensured the air conditioning apparatus which is actuated without use of halogenated hydrocarbon and comprises individual instruments known in the automobile technique and has actual results.
