CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a pair of insulating substrates, a picture element electrode 4 arranged in a matrix on the inner surface of either one substrate 11 of the pair of substrates, the switching elements 25a and 25b connected to the picture element electrode 4, the additional capacity 27 for holding the charge of the picture element electrode 4, the insulating layer 15 which covers the picture element electrode 4, and the additional capacity common wiring 8 connected to one electrode of the additional capacity 27. Then, the additional capacity 27 is provided with the 1st electrode 5 connected to the switching element and the 2nd electrode 6 connected to the additional capacity common wiring 8, and the wiring 8 is formed on the insulating layer 15. Thus, the signal delay on the additional capacity common wiring does not occur.
