Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To exert a constant tension and torque on a backing paper, independently of the number of printed labels, in order to stabilize a printing position by providing downstream with respect to a separating plate a pair of feed rolls which has on the outer periphery a projection longer than the width of the backing paper. CONSTITUTION:Each time a label is printed by driving a step motor 10 and a DC motor 11 with a label backing paper held between feed rolls 14, and 142 provided downstream with respect to a guide roll 13 for a separating plate 7, the backing paper is cut off by a projection 15 formed on the outer periphery of the feed roll 141. The projection 15 is extended widthwise of the peripheral surface of the feed roll 14, and longer than the width of the backing paper 2. Therefore, each time the feed rolls 14, and 142 roll through one revolution, the backing paper 2 is cut off by the edge of the projection 15 which presses the backing paper into contact with the feed roll 142. The backing paper 2 is cut into paper pieces 16 which are dropped into a box 19 from an opening formed in an outer case 17. As an alternative, the projection 15 may be split into sections 151 - 15n to form perforation 20 in the backing paper 2. |
