AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE:To carry out refrigerant recovery without decrease in refrigerating capacity even if the number of indoor unit is large by installing a control means which carries out the operation of refrigerant recovery for a specified hour in turn to the indoor units suspended in operation in respective indoor units at the operation time of space heating. CONSTITUTION:When total space heating capacity is over a specified one, time count T by an inner timer is started to confirm whether an indoor unit C1 is operated or not, and when the unit is in operation, waiting is continued until the timer count T1 reaches a set value N and when hot in operation a timer count T2 by the inner timer is started and until the count T2 reaches a set value M an electronic flow control valve (PMV) 11 is opened. Then, refrigerant flows in an indoor heat exchanger 14 and the refrigerant liquefied and sleeping in the exchanger 14 is recovered into compressor 1, 2. In the same manner as before, it is confirmed whether indoor units C2, C3 are in operation or not, and when they are suspended in operation, the refrigerant in indoor heat exchangers 24, 34 are recovered into the compressor 1, 2 by opening PMV 21, 31 until the timer count T2 reaches a set value M.
