Unless a button B exists in the button pinching foot 10, a sewing operation of the sewing machine 2 is not started, and instead thereof, a button carrying body 8 operates and supplies a button to the button pinching foot 10. when the button B exists in the button pinching foot 10, the sewing operation of the sewing machine 2 is started. In such a way, an L-shaped lever 23 being a transfer means anlarges and amplifies button sensing information of a sensing lever 22 being a contact means and transfers it to the sensor 24. Accordingly, sensing of whether the button exists or not by the contact means is transmitted exactly to the sensor 24.
