description PURPOSE:To perform the inserting print of documents with no manual operation required by synthesizing the inserting character information acquired from the hierarchy control information related to the document to be inserted with the information on the document to be inserted which is read out of a storage means. CONSTITUTION:When an inserting print instruction is produced, an inserting character acquiring part 7 acquires the name set to the hierarchy control information as a candidate of the inserting character information. Then the correspondence is secured between the inserting position and the inserting character information candidate. The result of this correspondence is turned into a document and stored in an inserting character information storage part 5. Then a control part 3 reads the information on the document to be inserted out of a document data storage part 6 and at the same time reads the inserting character information out of the part 5. These information are synthesized together by a document synthesizing buffer 4 and printed at a print part 8. As a result, the necessary inserting character information is inserted into the information on the document to be inserted and printed without producing previously an inserting character information document by a manual operation.
