description PURPOSE:To use a hypothesis adapting the experience of expert and to surely reflect the user's desire to the produced limit condition by producing the limit condition from the user's ambiguous answer via a hypothesis inference function. CONSTITUTION:For the user's answers received from an input part 9, a rule control mechanism 2 ignites the rule matched with the input data out of those rules stored in a rule base 1 including the hypotheses. Thus the new hypotheses and limit conditions are produced and stored in a hypothesis storing part 3 and a limit condition storing part 6 respectively. The stored hypotheses are controlled by a hypothesis control mechanism 4 in order to prevent occurrence of conflicts. If no ignitable rule is available, a limit condition production mechanism 5 refers to the data stored in both parts 3 and 6 to produce the limit conditions and stores these produced limit conditions in the part 6. A data base control system 7 refers to those conditions and selects the satisfactory conditions out of a data base 8.
