description | PURPOSE: To prevent a supporting surface engaging area from being reduced by a base deformation due to the beverage filling by a method wherein an outer end of the feet forms a discontinued supporting surface engaging area whose diameter is slightly smaller than that of the tubular sidewall and has a flat supporting surface engaging area whose diameter and size are larger than those of a bottle. CONSTITUTION: A base 140 has a bottom wall 142 which is extended downwardly. The bottom wall 142 is of a curved line with a specified radius which is deflected from the lower end of a tubular sidewall 138 to the inner radial direction and whose radius is larger than that of the tubular sidewall 138. An upper end of the bottom wall 142 is moved to the lower end of the sidewall 138 by a fillet portion 144 with a relatively small radius. The bottom wall 142 is almost at the center of the base 140 and crossing an axis line 139, terminating at the lower end of a center portion 146. The bottom wall defines a hollow leg portion away from the center portion 146 to the radial direction and is separated by a number of downwardly projecting wall portions extended downwardly to the bottom wall 142. If the carbonated beverage is filled in a container, an outer end of the contact surface is left on a point 154 and the diameter of the supporting surface engaging area is not reduced due to the deformation of the center portion 146. |
