NOVEL CONDENSED DIAZEPINONE, ITS PRODUCTION AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME

Condensed diazepinones of the general formula I in which is one of the divalent radicals X is a =CH- group, a =C-Cl- group or a nitrogen atom, A and A can be lower alkylene radicals, Z can be an oxygen atom or an alkylene chain of 1 to 3 C atoms, R can be lower alkyl, cycloalkyl or (cycloalkyl)-alkyl radicals or hydrogen, R can be lower alkyl or cycloalkyl radicals, R and R can be hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine or bromine atoms or lower alkyl radicals, R can be a hydrogen or chlorine atom or the methyl group, R and R can be hydrogen atoms or lower alkyl radicals and R can additionally be a halogen atom, and their acid addition salts and their possible enantiomers are described; processes for preparing these compounds are also described. The compounds are suitable as vagal pacemakers for the treatment of bradycardias and bradyarrhythmias; they have spasmolytic effects on peripheral organs, especially colon, bladder and bronchi.
