description PURPOSE:To improve the stability of dielectric constant, no loading and resonance frequency and linearity of temperature properties by adding Bi2O3 to the major components of BaO, TiO2 and Nd2O3 at a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:BaCO3, TiO2, Nd2O3, Dy2O3 or Pr2O3, and Bi2O3 are wet-mixed, dried, crushed, then pre-calcined in an oxygen-containing atmosphere at 900 to 1,100 deg.C for about 5 hours. The pre-calcined powder is ground, mixed with an organic binder, dried and compressed at 100 to 1,000kg/cm to give formed products. Then the products are fired at 1,300 to 1,450 deg.C in an oxygen-containing atmosphere to give the subject dielectric porcelain composition of the formula ((x) is 0.1 to 0.2; (y) is 0.6 to 0.8; (z) is 0.1 to 0.2; (t) is 0.005 to 0.03 wherein (x)+(y)+(z)+(t)=1; Me is Dy2O3 or 1/3Pr6O11; (n) is 0.080 to 0.550).
