description PURPOSE:To efficiently excavate the wall face in a tunnel at a uniform depth by revolving a cutter head having a rotary shaft parallel to the rotary shaft of a turning seat along the inner peripheral face of the tunnel via a parallel supporting link. CONSTITUTION:A turning seat 13 which is rotated centering around a shaft in the horizontal direction is supported liftably up/down on a guide frame 10 vertically installed on a traveling vehicle body 1, while providing a driving mechanism for rotating the turning seat 13. A cutter head 16 is supported by the turning seat 13 via a parallel supporting link 15 and the rotary shaft of the cutter head 16 is made parallel to the rotary shaft of the turning seat 13. Also, the angle of the parallel supporting link 13 is adjustable to freely adjust the revolution radius of the cutter head 16. The cutter head 16 is revolved along the inner peripheral face of a tunnel via the parallel supporting link 15 to excavate the inner wall face of the tunnel at a uniform depth.
