MAGNETIC TAPE DEVICE

PURPOSE:To easily recognize a desired displaying content without receiving any restriction from the arrangement of adjustment buttons by providing a displaying and operating sections and giving the displaying section a time displaying function peculiar to a magnetic tape in addition to an ordinary time displaying function. CONSTITUTION:When this magnetic tape device is set to an ordinary time displaying state, the operation starting time is displayed in the displaying part 13A of a displaying section 13 and the operation ending time is displayed in the displaying part 13B of the section 13. Therefore, the duration time of the operation can be understood from the difference. In a DAT function operating state, the entire running time of a DAT tape from the starting point is displayed in the displaying part 13A and the running time of a specific program from the starting section is displayed in the displaying part 13B. Since the displaying section has an intermediate time displaying function peculiar to a magnetic tape in addition to an ordinary time displaying function in such way, the displaying content corresponding to the currently executed function can be recognized certainly without receiving any restriction from the arrangement of operation buttons.
