It is preferable that a Fabry-Perot etalon resonator where the resonator length can be controlled spatially or by the change of the refractive index or a resonator where the equivalent resonator length can be controlled is used as this resonator. Thus, a wide wavelength range is covered for frequency multiplex optical communication.
