PRODUCTION OF ALKYLATED AMIDE DERIVATIVE

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound useful as an antiulcer agent, etc., in high purity without forming by-products, causing side reactions and requiring troublesome purification by reacting a sulfur-containing amine compound obtained by specific reaction with an unsaturated fatty acid or reactive derivative at the carboxyl group thereof. CONSTITUTION:A compound expressed by formula 2 (A is alkylene) (e.g., cysteine) is reacted with a compound expressed by formula 3 (R is alkyl, cycloalkyl, etc.; X is leaving group) according to the reaction formulas to provide a compound expressed by formula 4, which is then reacted with a 4-18C unsaturated fatty acid expressed by formula 5 (R is 3-17C unsaturated fatty acid residue) or reactive derivative at the carboxyl group thereof to afford an alkylated amide derivative expressed by formula 1. The reaction is preferably carried out by converting the compound expressed by formula 4 into a salt, isolating and purifying the salt and using the obtained salt for amidation.
