CABLE CLOSURE

PURPOSE:To perform jointing work of sleeve efficiently by employing a complex structure, where an elastic rubber body is applied onto the surface of a core member, for the end face boards at the opposite ends of a sleeve splitted longitudinally thereby avoiding shrinkage of the end board upon application of pressure. CONSTITUTION:A cable closure comprises a sleeve 2 splitted into two sections through a longitudinal split face 1 and end face boards 3 fitted to the opposite ends thereof. A sleeve seal material fitting groove 5 is made in the longitudinal split face 1 of the sleeve, and sleeve seal material 6 is filled therein. The end face board 3 has such structure as an elastic rubber body 8 is applied onto the surface of an aluminum core member 7, and the end face board 3 is contained in the sealing material containing groove 9 in the end face board. After a cable is contained in the cable through-hole 10 of the end face board 3, the sleeve 2 and the end face board 3 are coupled through a coupling means. Since the elastic rubber body 8 is applied onto the surface of the core member 7, sufficient sealing can be achieved only through a tightening lever.
