Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To obtain a recording material capable of regulating the sensitivity of a silver halide emulsion without making gradation flat by incorporating an anti-foggant represented by a prescribed formula into at least one silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION: This recording material contains an anti-foggant represented by formula I in at least one silver halide emulsion layer. In the formula I, A is H, a cation of a metallic atom or a nonmetallic group or a group bonding to N of the triazole by covalent bond and removed only during the processing of this material while releasing the triazole, R1 is H, optionally substd. 1-9C alkyl, 2-8C alkenyl, 6-10C aryl or SR3 , R2 is optionally substd. 1-9C alkyl, 2-BC alkenyl, 6-10C aryl, 5-10C heteroaryl, Cl, Br, -COOR3 , -COR3 or -OCOR3 and R3 is optionally substd. 1-9C alkyl, 2-8C alkenyl, 6-10C aryl, 5-10C heteroaryl.
