description | PURPOSE:To efficiently dry a sticky substance by introducing a heat transfer medium into a disintegrator before the flowability of the heat trasnfer medium become inferior because the thickness of the dry solid layer grown on the surface of the heat transfer medium increases to release the sticked substance and returning the heat transfer medium, from which the sticked substance removed, to a dryer. CONSTITUTION:A slurry or solution containing a sticky substance (e.g., soybean casein solution) is supplied to a dryer 1 using a fluidized solid heat transfer medium (e.g., alumina beads) to stick the sticky substance to the surface of said solid heat transfer medium to grow the same on said medium. Subsequently, the heat transfer medium is wholly or partially drawn out to be introduced into at least one disintegrator 8 or crusher and the sticked substance on the surface of the solid heat transfer medium is released to be separated and recovered while the heat transfer medium from which the sticked substance is released is returned to the dryer. As a result, even the slurry containing the sticky substance can be efficiently dried and a product having relatively high bulk density can be prepared. |
