CONSTITUTION:At the time of fitting the stave cooler for cooling the furnace wall in the blast furnace, plural pieces of trapezoid refractory bricks 1 shortening working face side of the stave cooler in a little are arranged to one line and these bricks are parallel arranged at plural lines. In this case, heat insulating buffering material 2 at the one side face and rear of the refractory bricks 1 and metal wool 3 at the other side face are stuck respectively, and the molten metal is poured. As the holding heat in the poured molten metal is slowly lowered while conducting heat to the refractory brick 1 through the heat insulating buffering material 2 and the metal wool 7, the crack caused by heat shocking of the brick is not developed. Boundary face between the metal wool 3 and the poured molten metal in the produced causing 4 is not clear as the metal wool 3 is melted and the casting 4 and the brick 1 are formed into solid contacted state.
