description PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of blowholes and to prevent molten-down metal pieces from flying away outside by opening slightly one end and the other end on the end face at the side to be welded and on a stress relaxation groove respectively and discharging outside gas in the stress relaxation groove at the time of welding. CONSTITUTION:In a state with an outside ring 2 fitted on an inside ring 1, the inside peripheral surface 1d and the outside peripheral surface 2d in contact with pressure are deposited by electron beam welding from the upper end face sides of these rings 1 and 2. The air penetrated into a gas vent groove 3 before welding and gas which is generated during welding and filled in the gas vent groove 3 is discharged through paths 4 with the progress of welding. Since the notched amount of the paths 4 from the peripheral surface 1a of the cut surfaces 1e is slight, the paths 4 are deposited by welding and filled up fully by weld metal. By this method, the generation of blowholes at the time of welding is prevented and the metal pieces molten-down in the gas vent groove 3 are also sealed and prevented from flying away outside.
