description PURPOSE:To correct an output automatically by determining the rate of a difference between comparative parameters of a road and a moving body running pattern and by multiplying an output of a distance sensor or a direction sensor by the rate determined. CONSTITUTION:The running track of a moving body is matched with a road pattern by a signal processing device 3. Then, a difference between a road pattern P1 and a running track pattern P2 is detected by a direction sensor 2. Then, it is judged that an angle thetaa of a change in the running direction of the moving body is smaller than an angle thetab of a turn of a road on a map. The rate thetab/thetaa of the difference in the direction between the road pattern P1 and the running track pattern P2 of the moving body on the occasion is determined, and an output of the direction sensor 2 by said rate used as a correction coefficient.
