HEAT TREATMENT OF NIGHT SOIL UTILIZING INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To improve heat efficiency by supplying night soil to an indirectly- heated flush chamber in fixed small amts., and instantaneously vaporizing the night soil by the large heat capacity of the flush chamber. CONSTITUTION:Night soil is sent to a storage chamber 29 from an intake 23 through a bent pipe 27. When a fixed amt. of night soil is accumulated, a water drawing cylinder 33, an agitating plate 34, and a delivery scraper 35 start rotating along the storage chamber 29 and the inner wall surface 21a of the flush chamber 30. The preheated night soil is drawn up in an appropriate amt. into the flush chamber 30 by a water drawing cylinder 33 in the storage chamber 29. The atmosphere in the flush chamber 30 is held at 400-480 deg.C, and the water in the small amt. of night soil produced in the storage chamber 29 is instantaneously vaporized. The vapor is blown into an oxidizing and deodorizing line by its own pressure from a delivery port 24 at the upper part of the flush chamber 30. As a result, the vapor is efficiently oxidized and deodorized.
