LIGHTNING ARRESTER

PURPOSE:To increase heat dissipation effect of a nonlinear resistor element and to improve a pressure release function by providing a projection inside an insulator container, and supporting the nonlinear resistor element not through an insulator pipe. CONSTITUTION:For example, three projections are provided inside an insulating vessel 1b, and nonlinear resistor elements 2 which are stacked are held not to be deviated sidewards by these projections 10. Also, they the force-set and fixed between opposed pressure release films 6a and 6b through supporting members 20a and 20b by a coil spring 4. The pressure release films 6a and 6b have function of releasing high pressure gas in the inside to the outside by bursting at the time of internal pressure rise which arises by arc discharge, etc., at abnormality by thunder stroke, etc., and preventing scattering of insulating vessel, etc. For this reason, some parts of the pressure release films 6a and 6b are formed thin. At the time of pressure release in this internal pressure rise, high pressure gas passage a pressure release path 7 and hits against covers 8a and 8b positioned at both ends of the lightning arrester, and is released from several pressure release ports 9a and 9b.
