PACKET SWITCHBOARD

PURPOSE:To simplify the test function by incorporating actual calls from terminal sets of different interfaces accommodated in line adaptors or other exchange into a common packet by the line adaptor, and utilizing the packet so as to conduct the test. CONSTITUTION:A line adaptor control section 17 or 27 of a maintenance center 130 or a line adaptor 10 or 20 issues a command to a test control section 13a or 23a to allow a test control section 13a or 23a to conduct the test at the packet of a real call or test call even if a corresponding packet conversion section 12a or 22a is busy with a terminal set or other exchange. Thus, plural line adaptors 10, 20 execute the test of plural items without having effect on the normal on-line call processing. Moreover, the similar test is conducted even to the terminal set or other switchboard connected to the lines 42a, 62a earlier. Thus, the test efficiency is improved.
