HIGH-SPED TRANSFERRING SYSTEM FOR BINARY DATA

PURPOSE:To decrease the overhead of an operating system and to enhance data transfer efficiency by continuously connecting and providing a data length counter to determine the length of a data transfer for one time. CONSTITUTION:A data length counter 2 at 32 bits, to which two data length counters at 16 bits to determine the transfer data are continuously connected is provided in a memory 1 to store the transfer data. When data 14 of 1 MB are stored in a memory area 13 of the memory 1, the data length counter 2 indicates the 1 MB to be the last of the data. Since the data transfer is executed in units of the length indicated in the data length counter 2, the all data can be transferred in one rotation in such a case. Thus, the overhead of the operating system can be decreased, and the data transfer efficiency can be enhanced.
