Said switching elements Q1, Q2 are alternately ON-OFF driven by a detection winding Ng simultaneously with the zero voltage point of a resonance voltage to supply a load R with power from their secondary winding via a magnetic amplifier circuit MA, a full-wave rectifier circuit and the like. Also, the design support apparatus of said converter is composed of a data input means 1, a performance analysis means 2, a resonance current operating means 3, a circuit constant operating means 4, and a data output means 5 so that characteristics of the converter are analyzed and its design data are obtained in the manner of corresponding to its commutation overlapping period and power transmission period.
