A pressure regulating valve comprising inlet valves 21'-21''' and outlet valves 24'-24''' is provided for controlling the pressure supplied to the wheel brakes. In the brake device, throttle units 12', 12" are interposed in the brake piping 10, 11, and pressure piping 15, 16 of pumps 13, 14 are connected to the downstream side thereof. Each of throttle units 12, 12" is formed by parallel connecting an orifice 30 to a nonreturn valve 51, and pump discharge pressure is introduced into a control chamber 55 of the nonreturn valve 51 by piping 19, 20.
