CONSTITUTION:When a sheet of stiff paper is conveyed in a conveying passage at the lower side and an auxiliary guide plate 5' on one side is bent as being pressed by this paper, if this deflection value exceeds a certain value, this deflection load is transmitted to an auxiliary guide plate 5 on the other via projections 21, 21' installed on each nonguidable way of these auxiliary guide plates 5, 5'. In consequence, the other side auxiliary guide plate 5 is also bent to some degree, and the tip is not projected to the conveying passage at the lower side. In addition, since pressing force by the paper tip is supported by each bending stress of these guide plates 5, 5', the displacement is reduced, so that even such a sheet of stiff paper is guidable to a contact area between paired relay rollers 8.
