Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To form a uniformly and thinly coated film having good painting appearance on a steel sheet by providing two units of pumps between a paint tank and an electrostatic painting device body part and precisely adjusting the supply rate of paint to the electrostatic painting device body part. CONSTITUTION:Compressed air is supplied from a compressed air supplying device 3 to an atomizing head 1 for atomizing the paint. A high-voltage generator 4 applies a negative electric charge to the atomized paint. Further, the primary pump 7 for supplying the paint is provided to a paint supply pipeline 6 connecting the paint tank 5 for storing the paint and the atomizing head 1. The secondary pump 8 having the flow rate accuracy within + or -1.0% is provided between the pump 7 and the head 1. As a result, the uniformly and thinly coated film having the good painting appearance is formed on the steel sheet and the steel sheet painted with the thin film of 1-2mu is produced.
