description PURPOSE: To continuously distribute and load returned paper money by feeding a returned paper money to a money reception opening as it is without stopping a cartridge distribution and loading mode even if the paper money is returned owing to a discrimination detect. CONSTITUTION: A paper money storage cartridge has plural cartridges. When cartridge loading is selected and then set as guided on a display part 31 and a start key is pressed, a CPU 39 feeds a paper money out of the cartridge and passes it through a discrimination part and to start a process. If the paper money is returned during the process, the display part 31 requests the extraction of the returned paper money from a money payment slot, the insertion of the returned paper money into a money reception slot, and the depression of the start key. Consequently, the returned paper money is taken in a device main body, and distributed and loaded in the cartridge. During the loading process operation, the CPU 39 stores a RAM 41 with the number of bills which are distributed and loaded and the number of returned paper monies. Thus, the loading to the cartridge can be carried on without stopping the loading mode even if a paper money is returned.
