description PURPOSE:To shorten a inference time by finding intermediate variables from a fuzzy membership functions according to the weight of an input variable and then inferring an output variable from an input variable and an intermediate variable which are irrelevant to the weight. CONSTITUTION:The fuzzy inference method is equipped with 1st-12th inference rule parts R1O12 and the 1st-9th inference rule parts R1-R9 find the membership functions of input variables x2-x3 to obtain intermediate variables %y from small values among them. The intermediate variables %y found by the respective rule parts R1-R9 are put together by a fuzzy composition part MAX1. The intermediate variables are sent to 10th-12th inference rule parts R10-R12 to find the membership function of the input variable x1, and the output variable (y) is converted into an intermediate variable %y. This output variable (y) is put together by a fuzzy composition part MAX2 and a gravity center calculation part AL calculates the center of gravity. Here, multi-stage reasoning is performed to reduce reasoning conditions greatly.
