Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To perform stable antiskid control on a split μ road surface by maintaining braking pressure during a period from the occurrence of a deceleration signal for wheels traveling on a bad road to the detection of a slip, reducing the braking pressure after the detection of a slip, and increasing the braking pressure when an acceleration signal is detected. CONSTITUTION: For antiskid control when a vehicle travels on a so-called split μroad surface where coefficients of friction differ significantly between right and left, an electronic control unit 1 switches a regulating valve 8 to maintain braking pressure, during a period from the occurrence of a deceleration signal for wheels on a road surface with a small coefficient of friction to the detection of a wheel slip signal, and, when detecting the slip signal, reduces the braking pressure. Next, when detecting an acceleration signal for the wheels, the electronic control unit 1 increases the braking pressure. For wheels traveling on a road surface with a great coefficient of friction, the pressure is reduced by the deceleration signal and increased by the acceleration signal in the same way as before. The large slip of the wheels traveling on a road surface with a small coefficient of friction is avoided, and the occurrence of a side slip or the like is prevented to provide stable antiskid control.
