Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To achieve higher detection accuracy of poor contact for a memory card. CONSTITUTION:Poor contact is detected between a memory card 1 inserted into a connector 2 of a main body 11 and a connector 2. Data for checking read out at a specified address of the memory card 1 and data which are read out at addresses as desired differing from values of other address lines only at one of all address lines of the memory card 1 excluding the above specified address are added up. When added values thus obtained are not equal to those read from the data written previously in the memory card 1, decision is made that the memory card 1 is contacting insufficiently.
