PURPOSE:To provide a bathing agent composition useful for improving the symptoms of atomic dermatitis, containing an inorganic salt, licorice extract powder and an oily component as active ingredients. CONSTITUTION:This bathing agent composition contains 10-95wt.% of an inorganic salt (e.g. sodium bicarbonate), 0.1-10wt.% of licorice extract powder and 0.1-20wt.% of an oily component which is liquid or pasty at normal temperatures (e.g. jojoba oil) as active ingredients. The composition may optionally be incorporated with a surfactant, polymers, organic salts, vitamins, enzymes, etc., and can be prepared in such forms as powder, granules, or tablets. Even general persons other than the patients with atopic dermatitis, this composition gives smooth touch in bathing and adequate humectant feeling after bathing. Also, as the fluidity of this composition in the form of powder is not impaired with time, there are no troubles in its production and the taking out of the bathing agent from the vessel is facilitated.
