PURPOSE:To obtain a uniform Ag layer free from pinholes with stable joint strength and to prevent blackening by plating Ag on the surface of a pipe consisting of an Ag-Cu alloy, then heating the pipe to form the pipe for flutes. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the pipe consisting of the Ag-Cu alloy is coated with the Ag at 0.1 to 10mum by wet or dry plating and is then heated at 100 to 400 deg.C to form the pipe for flutes. Thus, the uniform Ag layer free from the pinholes is obtd. on the surface of the pipe with the stable joint strength. The pipe for flutes which does not blacken in spite of read-heating with a burner at the time of subsequent working is obtd.
