description PURPOSE:To improve assembling workability and make the title motor inexpensive, by a method wherein a plurality of piezoelectric elements of small pieces, which is provided with the polarization axis thereof in the direction of the thickness of the element, is incorporated as torsional oscillation elements so that the direction of the polarization axes become reverse with each other. CONSTITUTION:A torsional oscillation element T is formed by laminating a piezoelectric ceramics and piezoelectric elements 1 having electric poles on the front and rear surfaces thereof while a longitudinal oscillation element L is also formed by laminating the piezoelectric elements 3 in the same manner. A laminated body, consisting of both oscillation element T, L, and first and second metallic blocks 5, 6, is clamped integrally by a nut 7 to constitute an ultrasonic longitudinal by twisting oscillator P. This longitudinal by twisting oscillator P is used as a stator and a rotor 8 is welded thereto by pressure whereby an ultrasonic motor is constituted.
