To enable an examiner to smoothly confirm both the condition of a subject and a diagnostic image in a medical image diagnostic apparatus.SOLUTION: A medical image diagnostic apparatus has an acquisition part, a display control part, and a determination part. The acquisition part acquires at least a reflection wave signal which is detected by an ultrasonic probe in which an ultrasonic signal transmitted to a subject is reflected in the subject's body, and an image signal including an exterior appearance of the subject captured by an imaging device. The display control part controls display to a display device fitted on the head of an examiner, of an ultrasonic image based on the reflection wave signal and a visual field image based on the image signal. The determination part determines whether or not it is an image capturing state that an inside of the subject's body is captured by the ultrasonic probe detecting the reflection wave signal.
