Zusammenfassung:	To provide a method for producing a polymer having a structural unit derived from α-methylene lactone excellent in productivity.SOLUTION: A method for producing a polymer having a structural unit derived from α-methylene lactone includes: a suspension liquid producing step of stirring a mixture including α-methylene lactone monomer, a dispersion medium, and a first surfactant to obtain a suspension liquid; and a polymerization step of heating the suspension liquid to obtain a polymer.
