Zusammenfassung:To provide a V2X communication-based electronic toll collection system and a V2X communication-based electronic toll collection method that can collect tolls stably and also propose an improved ETCS and its operation method that can protect the location privacy of vehicles.SOLUTION: A V2X communication-based electronic toll collection system (ETCS) includes at least one or more roadside devices (RSUs), a token issuer that verifies a vehicle's de-identified token by communicating with the vehicle's on-board device (OBU) via the at least one or more roadside devices, and a clearing house that communicates with the token issuer to charge a vehicle driver/owner.
