Zusammenfassung: | To provide a pigment composition with a high refractive index and superior transparency, heat resistance, and light resistance to be used in high-refractive index materials for use in optical lenses or optical waveguides for infrared sensors or infrared communication devices using 900-1600 nm light rays.SOLUTION: A pigment composition for use in optical lenses or optical waveguides for infrared sensors or infrared communication devices is provided, the composition comprising a pigment, resin and dispersant, and having a refractive index of 1.7 or greater at 23°C and 940-nm wavelength. When a film with a thickness of 1.0 μm is formed, the composition exhibits a maximum light absorbance of 1.0 or greater in a wavelength range of 780-870 nm and a light absorbance of less than 0.3 at 910 nm wavelength. The pigment is an organic pigment having a phthalocyanine structure.SELECTED DRAWING: None
