Zusammenfassung: | To provide an additive manufacturing method of a component having reduced defect frequency, in particular crack frequency, improved fracture toughness, improved ductility, improved density, and closed porosity.SOLUTION: The method comprises: providing a starting powder; and layer-wise fusing particles of the starting powder using a laser or electron beam. The component includes one or more alloying elements which at least in the range of temperature higher or equal to 1500°C has a reducing effect on MoO2 and/or MoO3 in the case of molybdenum and a molybdenum-based alloy, a reducing effect on WO2 and/or WO3 in the case of tungsten and a tungsten-based alloy, and a reducing effect on at least one oxide from the group of MoO2 and/or MoO3 and WO2 and/or WO3 in the case of a molybdenum-tungsten-based alloy.
