Zusammenfassung: | To provide a liquid crystalline polyester having high heat resistance.SOLUTION: There is provided a liquid crystalline polyester having a repeating unit (A1) represented by general formula (A1) and a repeating unit (A2) represented by general formula (A2), wherein the repeating unit (A2)/the repeating unit (A1) is 1.2 or more and the molar ratio [phenolic hydroxyl group/phenolic hydroxyl group+the acyl group] of a phenolic hydroxyl group to the total amount of a phenolic hydroxyl group and an acyl group calculated by 1H-NMR is 0.3 or less.
