Zusammenfassung:To reduce the breakage of transparent substrates when creating a liquid crystal device by arranging a liquid crystal cell between a first and a second transparent substrates.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for a liquid crystal device 1 is provided in which a liquid crystal cell 10 is arranged between a first transparent substrate 41 and a second transparent substrate 42 smaller in outer shape than the first transparent substrate 41, and the first and second substrates and the liquid crystal cell are integrated into one body. The manufacturing method for the liquid crystal device 1 comprises: an arrangement step of arranging the first transparent substrate 41 in such a manner that the first transparent substrate 41 is located away from and faces the liquid crystal cell 10 laminated on the second transparent substrate 42 on a buffer member 50 which is arranged in the outward of the second transparent substrate 42; and an integration step of contracting the buffer member 50, bringing the first transparent substrate 41 close to the liquid crystal cell 10 and integrating the first transparent substrate 41, the liquid crystal cell 10 and the second transparent substrate 42 into one body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】第1及び第2の透明基板間に液晶セルを配置して液晶装置を作成する場合に、透明基板の破損を低減する。【解決手段】液晶装置1の製造方法は、第1透明基板41と、第1透明基板41よりも外形の小さい第2透明基板42との間に液晶セル10を配置して一体化する液晶装置1の製造方法であり、第2透明基板42に積層された液晶セル10に離間して対向するようにして、第2透明基板42の外方に配置した緩衝部材50の上に第1透明基板41を配置する配置工程と、緩衝部材50を収縮させて、液晶セル10に第1透明基板41を接近させ、第1透明基板41、液晶セル10、第2透明基板42を一体化する一体化工程とを備える。【選択図】図4
