MANUFACTURING METHOD OF FUNCTIONAL LAYER

To continuously manufacture functional layers with the substantially uniform thickness on a surface of a material to be treated after peeling a protective film from the material to be treated.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a functional layer comprises the steps of: conveying a long belt-like raw material 1 having a long belt-like material to be treated 3 and a protective film 2 attached to the surface of the material to be treated 3; peeling the protective film 2 from the material to be treated 3 by drawing the protective film 2 in a separation member c1 arranged in a conveyance path of the raw material 1; and applying coating liquid to the surface of the material to be treated 3 exposed by peeling the protective film 2.
