To provide a method of producing a hydroxyalkylsilane compound in good yield with a mild condition.SOLUTION: A method of producing a hydroxyalkylsilane compound includes the processes of: performing nucleophilic substitution reaction between a compound (1) and a compound (2) to obtain a compound (3); performing hydrolysis reaction by mixing water having a pH of 1-7 to obtain a mixture containing the compound (3); removing a by-product by distillation; and performing desilylation reaction by mixing a mixture after distillation with water or an alcohol compound to obtain a compound (4).
